Control Concepts Goes Mobile at InfoComm 2011

AV Control System Solutions Provider to Show New CrestDiag®Remote Control Mobile App for Crestron Systems on iPad™ and iPhone®

FAIR LAWN, NJ – June 14, 2011 – Control Concepts, Inc. (CCI), a leading independent provider of audiovisual control system solutions, today announced that the role of mobile computing in the audio visual world will be one of its main themes for the company’s show presence at InfoComm 2011 this week in Orlando, FL.  Control Concepts will demonstrate its new CrestDiag remote control mobile app publicly for the first time.  CrestDiag enables trained professional AV control system programmers to monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot Crestron 2-Series PRO2  and 3-series MC3 AV control systems via their Apple® iPad, and soon, Apple the iPhone®.

“CrestDiag is the first of what we envision will be a whole series of mobile apps,” said Steve Greenblatt, Control Concepts’ Founder and President.  “Our customers and partners are increasingly interested in delivering mobile-related services and integrating mobile support into their products.  “These innovative, new custom-built mobile apps enhance our service offerings for the consultant, integrator, and enterprise AV communities as well our growing list of manufacturer partners.”

CCI is actively developing a range of Custom Mobile apps to satisfy the growing demand for digital and mobile-related services in client user communities.  For example, putting mobile technology in the hands of the tech support staff to do remote control, monitoring, diagnostics and trouble-shooting makes it faster and less costly to keep AV installations up and running.  The company already offers first-of-a-kind apps for iPad and iPhone and will be adding new mobile device platforms later in the year.

Control Concepts will be taking part in the all new Crestron Touch Screen Design Gallery at InfoComm, located in Booth #3220 of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.  The gallery is sponsored by Crestron with support from the InfoComm Independent Programmers Council.  InfoComm’s exhibits area will be open from June 15 to June 17.  The company also will have a presence in the booths of Lencore Acoustics Corp. (Booth #566) and SurgeX (Booth #2216), two of its first new manufacturing partners.

For the sixth consecutive year, Control Concepts President Steve Greenblatt, CTS, will be a featured speaker at InfoComm.  Greenblatt, a member of the InfoComm Independent Programmers Council Steering Committee and past Chairman, will present the session IS019 titled, “In Control of the Building.”  Participants learn how this paradigm shift will change the way they work and think about the potential connections between custom AV control, green AV and sustainability and building/facilities management.  The course will be presented on Wednesday, June 15 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon in room W311-E of the Convention Center.

The CrestDiag iPad app may be downloaded from iTunes for $1.99 via the following link: http://www.controlconcepts.net/crestdiag-mobile-app.  A new version of CrestDiag for the iPhone® is expected to be available by the end of this month.
