The WebSocket API supports two-way communication between a browser and a server where messages and event-driven responses can be exchanged without the need for polling. By using WebSockets developers can create HTML5 webpages and applications to interact with AV control systems in real time.

The CCI WebSocket Crestron module suite promotes a method of supporting HTML5 webpages, as an alternative to Adobe Flash, for a user interface solution to a Crestron control system.

Description

This module suite allows the Crestron processor (3-series or above) to implement a websocket server, and provides the mechanism for an external service to communicate with the Crestron processor via websockets.  It also converts messages to/from standard Crestron digital, analog, and serial signals.
