Control Concepts Welcomes Adam Hanson!

With an eye on future trends and opportunities in the AV control system landscape, Control Concepts is proud to announce the addition of industry veteran, Software Developer: Adam Hanson.

While each member of the Control Concepts team comes from a varied background, Adam’s history stands out in particular for a member of a Crestron CSP, AMX VIP, and Extron EQIP company. Rather than starting in the traditional world of AV solutions and control system programming, Adam began his career in software development at Crestron Electronics.

During this time at Crestron, Adam developed the one of the earliest and most well-known, centralized management and monitoring software tools called RoomView. RoomView (later known as RooomView Express, RoomView Server Edition, and Fusion) has made a significant impact of the industry with its ability to offer AV system monitoring and management.

Now with five full-time software developers and control system programmers, Control Concepts continues to bolster its resources in the area of control system module and driver development, middleware development, custom applications, and unique solutions stemming beyond the traditional capabilities of proprietary control systems.

“As more control solutions shift their emphasis toward modern programming languages and with the rise in configured control solutions, it is critical to differentiate and diversify our offerings by increasing the focus on software development,” says Steve Greenblatt, Control Concepts President and Founder.

For the past eight years, Control Concepts has invested more and more time and resources into growing the business and staff in the direction of software development offerings. These include control system module and driver development for AV manufacturers with common control system platforms of Crestron, AMX, and Extron as well as middleware solutions that connect platforms such as EMS with Crestron Fusion and AMX RMS.

“Our team is proficient in SIMPL# Pro, Cafe Duet, Python, C#, C++, HTML 5, CSS, Javascript, and other modern programming languages. It has allow us to serve the AV community in much greater and more valued capacity,” adds Greenblatt.

Should your needs call for demanding, insolvable, or borderline impossible technical challenges that require resources outside the realm of the typical AV control solution, Adam and others on the Control Concepts team are ready to help.
